Mismatched RAM

Hey guys,

 

I'd like to upgrade my RAM to 16 gigs.

The thing is, I have a Kingston HyperX Beast DDR3 1600mhz 8gb 9-11-11-29 RAM module in my PC right now.

And I'd like to add a HyperX FURY DDR3 1600mhz 8gb 10-10-10-30 stick to it.

Is it possible to have two RAM sticks that are running at different timings?

They will typically adjust themselves to run at the same speed and timings of the lowest spec module.

 

There's no guarantee that they will work together though, that's kind of just how it is with mixing RAM.
