So I am running the most recent whql drivers and I want to get different SLI auto working on my 1060 6gb and 980ti. Apparently it can be done with the newest drivers but I can't find the nvlddmkm.sys file. Some people have "expanded" the nvlddmkm.sy_ file but I have no idea how to go about that. And why can't I change the code for the program to use the .sy_. I will take any help I can get.

You need to read the how-to for that utility, it is super easy.

As you will learn if you read the guide, expanding that file (like unzipping basically) is done with a single command in command prompt. Takes literally a fraction of a second.

I've read the tech power up guide over and over again. It hasn't been updated since whql 654.xx

I'll see if I can find the guide I read when I found that a while ago - but it had pretty clear instructions on exactly how to do each step, where the files are located etc.

Off the top of my head, I think the command to expand the .dl_ file is something like 'expand filename.dl_ filename.dll'

I figured it out. It's cause of the mess that the current whql drivers have caused to the 1060 6gb so I have to wait for the next driver.
