Hi I am planing to build a new pc that I can game on and work (graphical designing and video production *amateur)

I will need about 16gb ram, Air cooler (if goes it over budget then i'll use stock), possibly a i7 or i5, and I have a budget of 600$ (Hey I said I was an amateur so don't expect a huge budget).

$600 USD or CAD or something else?

If it's CAD, which I'm assuming it is based on you mentioning Kijiji, a modern i5/i7+16gb RAM is quite unreasonable IMO

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

I'll suggest to get an old/refurbished Dell optiplex from eBay having 3rd/4th gen i7....they go around fr about $150-259CAD

And later on...popin additional 8gb of ram and an ssd...as ddr3 is pretty cheap as compared to ddr4....ND fr GPU, get a used 980ti or something like a new 1060/1070..

Note ...don't purchase the sff PC....as they are difficult to upgrade....also.... u'll HV to purchase a new PSU....

How important is the GPU?
