new gpu for my rig

im currently in the process off upgrading my rig already got a ryzen 5 2600 motherboard and 16gig off ram will be replacing 2 gtx 760 gpus cant decide on what card to buy im using a resolution of 1920+1080 i have a budget off £400 give or take £20 do i buy a new gtx 1060 6gb 1070 8gb 1070 ti 8gb or do i get second hand gtx 1080 or 2 gtx 980 a second hand gtx 1080 is sbout the same price as a gtx 1070 and the gtx 980 are about the same price as a gtx 1060

 

is there much off a differance gaming wise beetween a gtx 1070 and a 1070 ti ?

 

also what is the comparison beetween 2 gtx 980 in sli and a single gtx 1080 ?

im just gaming i no i only need gtx1060 but i would prefer a better gpu for futer proffing the system dont want to chang gpu again in a few years also might upgrade my monitor so i dont no yet if i need 4k might have a go at streaming on twitch and youtube as well

For 1080p gaming, a GTX 1060 will do the job but if you have the budget, buy the best graphics card possible. I wouldn't buy a used graphics card at this point because most of them were used for mining and their fans might be bad. Just buy a brand new GTX 1070 Ti.

Also, SLI scales very differently across games as we know so one video might not be comprehensive.

Either get the best 10 series card you can now, or if you can afford to wait do that because the new 11 series might just drop in about 4 months, though I get that is quite some time to wait for a new gpu. so getting a 1070ti is probably the most reasonable thing rn. (or a 1060 if you maybe want to sell and upgrade once the 11 series comes out).

ok thanks guys think i will look for a new 1070 or 1070 ti if i can find one in my price bracket

The 1070 Ti is only about 5%-10% worse than a 1080, and your premium over a standard 1070 is going to be $25-50, so if you have the cash I'd recommend getting the Ti.
