Cheap laptop for web development

Hi for web development I was wondering if a basic chromebook would work like HTML, CSS, JS, and other web dev languages.  Price limit of $700 thanks

How about an HP Probook 6470b? You can buy one used for 200USD and it's pretty much bulletproof. I'd get the model with an Intel Core i5 3320M and a Radeon 7570M.

Take a look at the dell XPS13. I think they're having a sale on the base model, around $700ish

Where are your from? Do you have any special requirements like display size, weight etc?

Just a note, webdev prefers unix-based environment, Linux and mac. But this was before the linux/ubuntu support in windows.

btw, people use mostly frameworks these day instead of basic HTML/CSS
