Do i need a backplate ?

Go to solution Solved by RollinLower,

well, they include the backplate so you can mount it on different motherboards from both AMD and Intel. so for your specific usecase you won;t need it, tough for other Intel boards you would need it.

I want to buy the cooler master masterliquid ML240L rgb for my ryzen 1600x on my msi x370 gaming pro carbon... i saw some tutorials on yt on how to install it because its my first time installing an AIO cooler

I also saw that all of them didnt use the backplate that came with it. They just mount it directly to the mobo. Do you need to backplate or did i miss something ?
