Current setup is a fx 4300, r7 240, 8 gigs of ram.    I already have a Ryzen 5 build list on pcpartspicker so i dont need any help with parts, what I do need help with is the OS. I currently have windows 10 on this prebuilt i got from Cybertronpc about two years ago. I know windows has that new activation troubleshooter incase you do swap out the mobo or hardrive you can just sign in with your windows account thats linked to the digital license and get it reactivated that way, but I've heard some people say it doesnt work with OEM licenses which i'm sure I have. Just curious if you guys can clear this up for me, just looking to do that new build sometime this year and want to see if i can save 100$ on windows. Thanks guys

OEM keys can be a pain, from personal experience following a pauls hardware vid I bought an OEM key which I have used a couple times in a couple rigs, it has activated fine for me both times, but I know a lot of people have had issues with them just not working at all, and microsoft can be a pain as they send you to who ever you bought the pc off of, which is now you as you built it, so you can try and see what happens, then if needed buy a code as you can boot into windows 10 without a key, there is a skip key button that you click once and it just ignores the key for a few days
