I recently tried to overclock my i7 5820k from 3.30Ghz to at least 4.00Ghz, but decided to return back to the normal clock speed as I had issues with the PC restarting. However since attempting to overclock my CPU, I have noticed that my CPU clock speed is fluctuating and have no idea on how to fix this issue.

Is it fluctuating at idle or at load?

At idle its fine and perfectly normal(and as it drops to 1.2ghz im assuming it is at idle)

If its at load, what voltage settings did you change? 0.98 volts is too low.

The Clockspeed in the GIF is at idle.

I think the only reason i noticed the fluctuating clockspeed is due to my attempt at overclocking as I paided more attention to the clockspeed

And with the voltage I changed it back to the Auto setting in the BIOS
