I'm replacing my old AMD HD Radeon 6670 with a New VTX AMD HD Radeon 7870 Tahiti LE. I've placed my new graphics into my computer (Plugged in cables for extra power), and booted it up, There isn't any display though even though I've plugged in the HDMI, and tried DVI. I don't know what the problem is, and unable to find an answer anywhere.

Specs:

Motherboard: Foxconn H61MXL/H61MXL-K

CPU: Intel i5 2nd gen 3.00ghz

Memory: 8GB DDR3

Monitor: Acer S240HL

look if the graphics card is properly seated in the pcie slot, sometimes they are raised in the front and therefore you dont have a picture, can happen :)

I've plugged my monitor into my motherboard VGA, but there isn't any picture for that.

Try putting the old card back in, installing the drivers for the new card, then reinstalling the new card.

You're and your are not the same. Neither are their, there, and they're. Defiantly and Definitely are definitely not the same. Definately and Rediculous are not words, and you should feel bad for misspelling them. If English is your first language, you don't have a learning disorder, and you get any of these wrong, you are making the entire forum slightly dumber by doing so. Please take the extra three seconds to type properly, and have a nice day.

I would start thinking about investigating the issue on the monitor side, change your cable, and try also to plug it on another monitor/TV and see what happens.

If you have a handy UPS around and you happen to be able somehow to boot into your machine again, i would recommend pumping in a BIOS update, it increases compatibility with some GPUs in extreme cases.

Stop bloating nonsense, and reason to contribute in a constructive manner.
