So i recently discovered this problem on my gpu where it would overheat and the whole computer would restart this has not happened to me before but only when i played fortnite for the first time it pinned my gpu usage at 100% which was really wierd i was running on highest settings but this had not happened to me while playing pubg or similiar games i can run the game if my fan speed is set to 100% but with the auto fan curve it overheats and crashes my pc and i have the gigabyte 2 fan model

My case is thermaltake commander 2 with 2 exhaust and 2 intakes all 120mm good quality fans

And my cpu is 4690k not overclocked at the moment because of my gpu overheating

What are your temps you are seeing? GPU usage at 100% is what you want when you are playing games...

My pc just restarts and im not getting that high temp just under 80c which shouldnt be dangerous for the gpu

then thats not a GPU overheating if your temps are below 80c...Usually there is one main (though could be others) reason that a PC would just restart without any type of warning or BSOD, and its not from your GPU "overheating" when its clearly not at below 80c, its from a faulty power supply. What power supply do you have?

I have got the vs450 but when i put the fan speed of the gpu to 100% the pc didnt restart anymore and it might be the psu aswell because its a pretty old one 4 years now but it does have enough power to run my computer i have stress tested this at 100%cpu and gpu load overnight when i got my 1060 and it was fully stable
