Best Budget option?

hello everyone

 

I am on a budget have to assemble a pc for my little brother, he wants an entry level gaming pc.

And I can not choose between a 'intel pentium G4560 + gtx 1050ti' and a 'r3 2200g + gtx 1050' I would like to hear your opinion...

ps. the difference in prices for me are

intel pentium g4560= 51 euro ------------- r3 2200g= 93 euro

gtx 1050ti= 177 euro--------------- gtx 1050= 133 euro

I'd go with the 1050Ti if it's mostly a gaming build. Doesn't have the upgradability of the other system, but it has better performance.

Realistically the G4560 will last until he has enough money to do a complete system upgrade.

I don't know exactly about the performance in th first build the gpu is a better and in the second one the cpu is better, and i also consider that if he upgrades, what will happen to the old hardware? Selling a gtx 1050 is much easier than selling a used g4560

But i get where you are coming from.

The GPU matters more when it comes to gaming. The CPU, not so much. The G4560 is good all the way up to a 1060 without bottlenecking.

I don't see there being a huge market for such an entry level graphics card, when generally if you go back a generation or two you'll get a significantly better card for the same price. Also consider this; you'll lose a lot less money selling the CPU later on than you will the GPU.

Yes you are right I think I will choose the g4560 with 1050 ti, i also considered a gtx 960 4gb which is slightly cheaper than gtx 1050 ti and and performs better than a gtx 1050, maybe that was also a good idea i would like to hear your opinion on that too.

But thank you very much for the advice, I think I will buy the g4560+1050ti

With regards to the 960 if you can find it cheap it's good. My two lists above could have the GPU swapped out for a 960 and perform about the same.

Thats basically the same build i had made up with the r3 2200g but pcpartpicker always seems to be a little bit higher in price

gtx1050=133 euro

gtx 1050ti=177 euro

gtx960 4gb=162 euro

Is it worth swapping the 1050ti for 15 euro ?..

I would like to hear your oppinion about that.

Yes, definitely. The 2GB frame buffer on the 1050 is getting quite small nowadays.

I'd see if you can find a good deal on a GTX 970. Sometimes they go pretty cheap.
