Hey guys,

My buddy got an Hp 8200 Elite. He hooked everything in correctly but when he goes to power it on has it has a red light and beeps 4 times. I've read its a fried motherboard or psu. Could he plug in the old psu and leave the 970 in there being powered by the other psu outside of the computer? He actually got an adapter cable. This one.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NAHMULC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

**UPDATE**

He plugged in everything with the old psu and gpu and it turned on

Old GPU: HD Radeon 6570 ----> NEW GPU: GTX 970

Old PSU: Hp 320 watts ----> New PSU:  Corsair vs550

Specs

CPU: Intel Core i7 (2nd Gen) 2600

MOBO: Intel Q67 Express

GRAPHICS CARD: GTX 970

PSU: Corsair vs550

RAM: 8 gbs

Thanks,

Portz:D
