Recently I have started getting the "ethernet doesn't have a valid ip configuration" error when I boot up my computer, It stays around for 1-3 minutes then resolves itself and works.

I have updated my bios and my LAN drivers and then run "netsh winsock reset" and "netsh int ip reset" but it still comes upo with the error on boot. Is this a premonition that my onboard NIC might be dyeing. If it is I would prefer to buy a new NIC before the onboard one dies so that I am not stuck with wifi until I can get a replacment.

Thx

Can you factory reset your router? try a different router port? I seen this when a router acts up as well
