1080p low fps

hey when im watching old pirates of caribbean 1080p torrents,its fine, but when im downloading newest 1080p movies,i have bad fps..any ideas?laptop: lenovo g505 quad core version

 

p.s if it was driver issue,i would have bad fps on all 1080p videos.even i have good fps on 1080p youtube videos

The newer movies are probably h265, which is more taxing on the cpu, but much better image for the same bitrate.

 

But be warned, talking about piracy on this forum is forbidden.

 

Also what is the bitrate on the newest moviest you downloaded?

Also try to use VLC video player and see if that helps

That doesn't contain enough info, how big is the file size?

But most probably your cpu/gpu is too old to play h265 files, try to find h264 files instead of h265/x265

10GB but im pretty sure its just my old pc

You are trying to watch that big files on a computer that old? No wonder the lag. Find videos into h264 and a file size of about 2gb, thoss should be watcheable

How taxing is the video on your system... are any system resources in task manager being used at 100% (Ram, CPU, Etc.)
