Cleaning Cpu

Quick question I cleaned the pin side of the cpu with themal paste remover and then 91% isoprophyl alcohol doesn't have pins could thermal paste remover damage it  because i spilled thermal paste on that side don't ask how so i taught thermal paste remover was the only way to remove the paste so I used it but now I'm seeing 91% alcohol is the way to do it so curious if thermal paster remover couldve damaged it?

You don't need 91% exactly,the closer to 100% the less particles the alcohol will leave behind on the CPU as the alcohol evaporates. You should be okay if the computer will still post in all honesty. Just try to use the highest percentage(I normally use 97%) of isoprophyl alcohol and you'll be okay.

as long as there is no visible discoloration on the pads and you got all the thermal paste off and its dry, you should be fine. Only way to be 100% certain is to throw it in the board and boot it up.

how long does it usuallt take to dry dried it off but still might have liquids cuz some got in the middle on accident

give it a few hours and you should be fine
