Thunderbolt worth it?

Currently planning on building an I7 8700k rig using an ITX Z370 motherboard. Would it be worth it to pay an extra $50 for a Thunderbolt 3 / USB C port, and if not immediately are there any use cases I could potentially take advantage of.

I don't need 10 Gig networking

I dont have any other equipment that requires a PCI connection.

System will solely be for gaming / some streaming and will have a dedicated GPU.

 

Essentially trying to determine whether it's worth 'futureproofing' or not.
