BUILDING A 1080p 60FPS+ 1000$ computer

I have been using an old Acer Aspire laptop for a few years now. I think its fine for most games but its very slow due to the fact it doesn't have an SSD. I have three roommates and we are all going to split the price of a new build. We think 1000$ is a good budget. We have a spec requirement list. We all do some sort of light video or photo editing. We play games like fortnite, pubg, and farcry.

500GB or less SSD
GRAPHICS card with 6GB of VRAM or more

1TB hard drive

CPU with clock speed of 3GHZ or more and 6 or more cores

16Gb of ram

We also want it to be modestly quiet.

We have already chosen the case

We have a plan to steal a version fo windows instead of paying for one.

Here is my list.

Ryzen 2600/1600

Asus b350 mobo

16gb of ram

Some samsung SSD, just as the 860 evo.

Seagate/Toshiba 7200rpm 4Tb hdd(1 tb is too low)

Bequiet case with bequiet psu and fans

Rx 580 or a 1060, depending which is cheaper in your country, maybe you can get even the 1070.

Also no need to "steal windows" If you go to college or whatever ask if they enroll in the microsoft imagine program, and if they do you can get windows 10 pro licence there.

Uh that's going to eat up 10-15% of your budget alone, don't do that.

No, I actually meant pirate windows, I know its wrong but we really wanted to save some money to put back into the case. If you really don't think using 15% of the budget for the case is a good idea, I would love a good recommendation for a "SEXY" case that would be great. I am also a little worried about making a ryzen build isn't ryzen a little outdated and little unstable?

Here try this, I opted for a cheap 250GB SSD for you to install OS and most played games. It is a bit over budget but it checks all the mark and should serve you well. I choose a slightly more expensive PSU for if you want to upgrade to a gtx 1080 ti in the future and the X variant of the ryzen series as it comes with a better cooler and therefore boost / overclock higher.

There you go with a white case

Also try to get an rx 480 8gb / rx 470 8gb should be cheaper

No and no Idk where you got that idea.  The 2600 came out 4 days ago and you can get windows for $5-$20 legit from kinguin or something.  The nzxt s340 is fine and you literally cannot afford a $150 case that will look empty with this build in it.  You could opt for this too for $20 more: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Y6Crxr/fractal-design-meshify-c-atx-mid-tower-case-fd-ca-mesh-c-bko-tg

Thanks I will look over everything. Would it help lower the budget if I opted for a 4gb of vram ?

Actually, we all agreed that we don't need any more than 1TB becuase we keep most of our school work and personal files on the cloud.

No the 1060 6gb beats the 570 8gb.  Get the list I posted with a white case, because that processor, cooler, gpu and storage solution are all a waste of money

Not really, the cooler is not needed just get the ryzen 1500 non x and use that cooler and save money there. the ram is a bit slow. The graphic card cost the same as a gtx 1060 6gb and is slower. I personally wouldn't trust the SSD as it is from an unknown brand. Lastly the power supply doesn't leave room for expansion and is dodgy IMO

1060 6gb is better. If the 480/580 8gb costed $200 or less like it SHOULD than this might be smart, but it doesnt

The rx 480 is basically a non overclock rx 580 so if it is cheaper, it a no-brainer. However, I am hesitant as it might be used for mining

Whatever it is used for shouldnt matter.  A card that performs worse and costs the same as the 1060 should be avoided.  The 580 8gb performs worse than the 1060 6gb, but if it were to cost $50-$100 less, then it would be a "better buy"

Going from 100 frames to 105 frames isn't worth sacrificing hyperthreading and overclocking.

Also, this PSU is a great value:

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.

Let's not create a warzone here...

Let OP decide what he wants....

If u want all ham better fps...then get 8400...

If u want decent enough fps along with better productivity performance...then go with R5 2600
