Connection issue with certain games

Hello everyone, recently i switched to xfinitiy (because ATT is the worst isp in the U.S) and i noticed that I've been getting an average of 44ms on quake champions and league of legends. For some reason Im still lagging in games like Fortnite and Overwatch. I've used haste and it worked but i dont want to pay for them. same with outfox. does anyone have a solution for me lagging in overwatch. i keep getting pings above 60. Why am i getting lower and higher pings on certain games? Help please.

I live in FL and most of the games i play are hosted in LA like league. I still trying to figure out why overwatch and fornite are also lagging? Do people use vpns to reduce lag or something? are they a good investment?

well thats unfortunate. so there is really nothings i can do.
