Solidworks performance help?

So I recently got solidworks 2017. I figured it should run awesome on my system (ryzen 7 1700, 16gb ram, rx 480). But it is really slow. I know some other people who are running dual core i3's and the like and it runs way better. Any settings I can change to make it run better?

Are you talking in terms of responsiveness, an SSD will help but in terms of compute performance that depends on what your doing in the application.
