So currently my monitor is a 27" IPS 165hz with Gsync and it's nice don't get me wrong but I was thinking of upgrading to a 3440x1440 with at least 120hz refresh if possible. Is the Alienware ultra wide that can over clock to 120hz worth it or is their something else that's better?

The Acer Predator X34p can easily overclock to 120hz

Is it better than the alienware? I just wanna make sure if I do spend a ton that it's got a high refresh and is ultra wide at least 3440x1440 and is a great end all monitor for me lol. I play mainly pubg/fortnite so I want to at least take advantage of the 120fps/120hz

They are basically the same panel. Choose whichever you like more or consider the price.

For instance, where I live, the Alienware was about $200 cheaper than X34P.

/r ultrawidemasterrace seems to love the Alienware, might be a good idea to search for clues there as well.

Bought the X34P just now!

Look, IPS, 120Hz, G-Sync, what more do you want? Yeah 500 nits might've been nice, it 'says' it has HDR, but yeah, not so sure about that.

Can't wait, should go nicely with a 1080ti I reckon.

I'm just afraid after 30 days i'd have some sort of issue with the monitor and i'd be screwed with a $1k monitor that has issues.
