In this video benching X299

The result for CS:GO at 4k at very high settings is 291 FPS. I was wondering if anyone knew how Linus gets his average fps. In an actually game that seems really high to me. I was also wondering if anyone had tested a system with a 1080ti and a 7700K running at 1440x1080 4:3 at medium to low settings. For non csgo players asking wtf why such low everything on such a beast setup, FPS is everthing to the most competitive csgo players.

Thank you droid so by far the best thing i can do is upgrade to an unlocked CPU and overclock it if I understand this correct

If you have a Z series board, yeah. CSGO really doesn't exercise the GPU hard, so get a better CPU for now (quad core is fine, CSGO doesn't use HT or more than 4 cores super effectively, but they might count for background tasks more) or just wait for Source2 to actually see better performance.

idk

I mean you could upgrade to a 7700K, but it's not going to make too big of a difference really.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?
