Thermaltake riing 14 premium software not launching.

I just bought these fans. I have their non software version and I love them. 

 

My issue with these though is that the software isn't working at all. 

I can install the software, but when I go to launch the software nothing happens. 

I can see in my task manager that it is indeed running but still no UI or system tray icon.

 

One weird thing that I noticed is that if I try to launch the software, then I unplug the USB connector from the controller, the software works actually comes up and then gives me an error. Clicking inside the software during this, causes it to crash. If I plug in the controller during this process, it does not start working. 

 

A quick google suggests that this software is buggy a lot. however, i couldn't find anything like this. 

 

I am running Windows 10 version 1709.

 

Any ideas?
