My hp omen laptop is running a nvme 128gb, liteon CA1-8D128 which is 2280 form factor i want to upgrade this for 500gb samsung 960 evo, will my laptop support this.

And also i want a good but cheap nvme enclosure can you suggest me something for india

NVMe requires a PCI Express bus.  Not sure you're going to get that in an external enclosure.  Probably be fine if you ran the drive in SATA mode and put it in an M.2 SATA enclosure.

 

If you're sure the laptop already has a 2280 NVMe drive already in there, then the Samsung will probably work just fine.

Yes, I am sure it has 2280 NVMe, but then just in case m.2 sata enclosure doesn't work then what other option do i have to use the old one ... i don't want to sell it or let it go to waste ... at least i can keep 2 games on it.
