help me (mechanical keyboard)

MY mechanical keyboard is double typing letter 4 , i and few more twice often but not always. is there anyway to fix it?

Take of the keycap and put it back on. If it still happens you would need to take out the switch.

done it and it didnt fix it doesnt taking out the switch breaking the warranty?

Yep. If it's under warranty you should send it back, provided you didn't spill anything on it.

funny thing is i already sent it back to my retailer and he said the distributor checked and theres nothing wrong with it T_T

Well he probably didn't send it back to the manufacturer. Ask for a new one instead.

what do you mean by ask for a new one cause i asked for RMA to my shop and when the distributor came and checked my keyboard they said theres nothing wrong and i dont know how or maybe the problem is in my computer even though right now typing with a membrane keyboard doesnt give a sign of double typing at all T_T

Can you RMA the keyboard? i have double and triple typing on my K70 from Corsiar when i first got it

yes but as i said i aready sent it to my local retailer to get RMA but the distributor who is responsible for RMA checked my keyboard and said theres nothing wrong with it

Then you as a consumer have a right to request a replacement (rather than a repair which sounds like is what they tried to do), if it isn't fit for purpose

 

Are you able to duplicate the issue on another machine?

 

Edit to clarify an above post, when you RMA something you can either get a refund, replacement or a repair, state that you want to RMA it for a replacement; if it's within warranty you're within your consumer rights to get one

on my brother computer it may look like theres no double typing at all but in my laptop sometimes. i dont really know maybe its just me whos double typing on the laptop with the keyboard. but i am pretty much certain that theres something wrong with that keyboard since my membrane keyboard doesnt double type now

You can use the software on the following page to test to see if it's the keyboard that's the problem

If that confirms you you can go back and request a replacement

on my computer is double typing for sure but idk about other machine

If you can open the switch you can try to clean inside it. Check the link in my signature. Other wise you would have to remove it and either clean it then or replace it.

Probably. Assuming they could even tell you did anything. It's not working anyway.
