I want to make a backup of my S7 because I haven't done so yet. So I installed the ADB stuff onto my PC and ADBDriverInstaller.exe detected my S7 as OK and working. Dev mode is enabled on my S7 and USB Debugging is enabled. But, when i open up a CMD and enter in "adb devices", nothing shows up. I do NOT want to use Samsung Sync or whatever it's called

What is it exactly that you're trying to back up? Pictures? Programs? Whole device?

Personally I find that it's easiest to sync programs and contacts via my google account. As far as pictures and other files go, if you're plugging into a windows computer, the only thing you really need to do is ensure that you have the latest Samsung USB Driver installed, enable USB Debugging (which you said you already have) and allow the phone to connect and set up in windows. Then on your phone just select MTP from the USB notification that shows up while connected and you can access your files within windows explorer.
