would there be any point of putting 2 gpus (1070 and radeon R5) in one system?

I Dont see why you would do it. There is no sli connection so i think only 1 gpu might be used by the mobo it selve. (I Dont know for sure but i think its that

you dont need an sli connection to run 2 gpus in a system, sli or crossfire is only if you want to run them together

Yea you can run as many as the system will allow. Don’t see why there would be a reason why it wouldn’t. Intended purpose and all.

If you're running more monitors than what you can physically plug into your 1070 then a second gpu would be a practical use.  I can't think of any other practical reason for a second gpu.
