My friend's computer wont boot, shows no sign of booting on power button push. i know its receiving power, as there is an led on the graphics card at the psu cable connection that is always on for some reason (assumed it meant unstable/no power as is with my card, but it functions normally). i removed the cmos battery, as there is no cmos break, and put it in again. it booted once after i did that but not again. would this behavior be indicative of corrupt/broken bios? or some other motherboard based issue? it seems to be motherboard, but i do not know.

try with a new power supply.  just because it "has power" doesnt mean the psu isnt fucked.

also, is this a new build, or one that was working fine a couple days ago?

How do Reavers clean their spears?

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.

Well is this a build with integrated graphics?

What are the specs of the machine?

Try taking out everything but 1 stick of RAM and testing that in each available slot. Take out the graphics card and use integrated graphics. Start from a minimalistic approach until you find your culprit.
