With the holidays coming up, I was thinking about getting myself a pair of nice quality earbuds, but since I don't really know of any pair that stands out particularly, I'm asking you guys for recommendations.

-Usage scenario? Music listening (all genres, all bitrates), movie watching and gaming (although music is the priority here).

-Type? I'm not a huge fan of in-ear, since I'm used to using the non-in-ear buds that came with the first iphones etc, but if the audio quality is better on IEMs, than I'm definitely willing to make that compromise

-Noise cancellation/ bluetooth required? NO

-Budget? Anything under 300 dollars I guess, but I'd rather spend something like 150 dollars.

-What's important? I'm not really a bass junkie, I really prefer rich all-around sound.

Thanks in advance guys  :)

Sennheiser IE60 is my choice - freaking love them. If you want a detachable cable, bump up to the IE80.

I selected a few options:

-Sennheiser mx985

-ATH-M700 ti

-Klipsch s4i

-B&W C5

-Sennheiser ie80

-Bose ie2

Which one would you guys pick?

And also, what are the main advantages/disadvantages when using in-ears versus using regular earbuds?

Well I already voted for the IE series - can I vote again? :P

IEMs are generally better than buds because they can make a seal with your ear canal. This improves bass/low-mid response and noise isolation.
