SSD migration

Hi all,

im about to clone my old SSD over to my new Samsung 860 pro (512gb). From what I can gather the Samsung software seems to be the best option to do this. My question is, do I have to initialise the drive first? Or Can I just run the software and start the process.

I used Norton GHOST and I never had to init the drive, GHOST took care of everything.
