Hi,
I'm planning on getting the ryzen 3 2200G but after reading some articles, it seems that the b350 motherboards need a bios update for the APUs to work. AMD is also offering a "boot kit," so that you'll be able to update the bios using another CPU. What I want to know is what motherboards (brand, model, etc) will i not have to do the bios update. i know when the first batch was sent to tech youtubers, and most of them seemed to be using a mini-itx board. So is there any full size ATX motherboards, that won't require a bios update for the APUs to work?

thanks

They should be coming when Ryzen 2 launches, although the APUs have been out long enough that pretty much any board on the shelf should ship with a supported BIOS.

In actual stores it should have a sticker with Ryzen 2000 ready. Online, just make sure the listing says the b350 board is updated. Most brick and mortar stores can fix it for you, but by now I think most stock is 2000 ready. Any reason for not grabbing a 2400?

AMD Ryzen 3950x under a Noctua D15S, 32 Gb G Skill FlareX 3200 DDR4 running at 3200 CL14, Gigabyte Aorus Pro 570 Wifi, Gigabyte 2070 Super hooked to a Dell U2718Q 4k HDR monitor & an Acer 1440p 144hz IPS panel of some kind, an Inland 1 TB M.2 PCIE 4 main drive, a Samsung NVME M.2 250Gb, WD Blue 500Gb  and 1 TB SSDs, Corsair RMX750, Rainbows and butterflies...

That is fair. I forget not everyone does what I do, have a budget of $500 and end up spending triple the price cuz something was shiny
