Hey so I wasn't sure which category to put this under so please forgive me.

So recently my PC just randomly "shuts" off while playing games. What I mean by this is that the monitor still displays the game but my audio, keyboard and mouse all stop working, pretty much everything connected to the computer itself stops working and as a result makes me unable to play games especially competitive games such as Fortnite. I would greatly appreciate any assistance, my specs are listed below.

Sounds like it's crashing. Is anything overclocked? It might be unstable.

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

Nothing is overclocked, everything is at factory clocked.

I don't think so as my PC literally shuts off when this happens and the only way I can turn it off is by a forced shut down, although I haven't checked my temps while in game.

Is this a recent problem or has it happened before? Try taking the front off that case (because that design is a bit restrictive) and make sure your case has plenty of room to breathe in front and behind. See if that makes any difference.

Does it shut off or does it freeze? Because you said it still displays the image on the screen which means it's not off but frozen. Try reinstalling your GPU drivers.

Very recent problem, only started happening a couple of days prior. The air from the fans have been quite warm and it's due for a clean, I'll keep that in mind.

It just shuts off, doesn't freeze. My character in game will usually just keep running into a wall while I eventually die. I'll try reinstalling my GPU drivers though.

I misunderstood. So your computer works but all your peripherals stop working? What USB devices do you have plugged in? If you unplug everything but keyboard and mouse will it work then?

Yep, I have a Blue Yeti mic, a mouse and my keyboard connected to the computer, and do you mean if I unplug everything but the keyboard and mouse when it "shuts" off will it work? If so, no, it stays the same.

What? That's a bit confusing... when you say your character keeps running you mean that's what your friends see, not you right? Okay so your computer completely turns off, your screen is black, fans all off, and the power light on your PC is off? That's most likely a PSU issue then, it might be faulty. Do you have another you can test out?

Sorry for the misunderstanding, my monitor still displays image so what I see on the screen is the game I am playing and usually my character in game just running into a wall however I am unable to give in any form of input through my mouse or keyboard or mic. So to conclude, my PC still operates but it turns off everything that is connected to it via USB.

Okay, so it seems like your computer is not shutting off or freezing, it's just that your peripherals are "disconnecting". In that case it sounds like an issue with your motherboard/USB ports. First, reset BIOS to defaults and see if it still happens. Then, try to install the newest USB drivers for the board from the manufacturer's site. If that doesn't do it you might need to try flashing the BIOS to the newest revision. If all of those fail to fix it it might mean the problem is hardware-based and the board needs to be RMAed.
