Chrome to Linux

Hello is there a way to get rid of a chrome os on my acer chrome books and install a Linux distribution

Yup.  Use Crouton and you can even keep your data from the Chromebook install!

I did this a couple months ago, Just popped in a flash drive with Ubuntu and installed.... I don't recommend it though. Usually chrome books have ridiculously low storage space making things a bit difficult unless you have an external drive.

Yeah it has a port of a sdcard I know it’s gonna be slow for a drive

I have a Raspberry Pi with Ubuntu Mate on it and once I got the Swap size just right, it's not so bad.  About as fast as an old laptop, and still faster than a 5400 rpm drive.  A Class 10 SD card actually made a difference.

i followed the instruction on the website and i cant get past the download set i get into the thermal follow what it says and doesnt work
