Hello guys i just swapped my old intel core duo with my old fx 6100. Changed motherboard ram and cpu.So after that i started my pc and it was ok. It displayed select a proper media device but it was fine because it was displaying. After 5 minutes i started the pc once again after cleaning the psu and it wasnt displaying. When i plug the vga cable to the gpu the monitor just goes from no signal to black like the pc sleeps . I really dont know what to do. I removed the mobo battery changed slots to the rams but nothing.

Have you tried connecting the vga cabel to the motherboard?

The FX-6100 is not an APU and does not have integrated graphics. You need a GPU to display anything at all.

What motherboard and RAM are you using. I suppose there could be a RAM compatibility issue. Do fans/light anything else turn on. Also, how long are you waiting before shutting it back off? First posts are sometimes a little longer than a normal boot sequence.

Make sure the cables are plugged into the GPU and PSU correctly. Also, try a different PCI slot. I'm not sure what else it could be. You can also try reseating the CPU and cooler, making sure that the cooler has good contact with the CPU and the thermal paste is spread well.
