partnership. its a 51-49% split with toshiba owning the larger amount.

I'm probably not the brightest for asking this, but I'm doing it anyways. I've retired my old Dell latitude (E4310) for an I5 7577. While I was parting it out for another system I read on the optical drive "Designed by Toshiba Samsung Storage Technology". Can anyone explain this?

on the nand stuff too, though i think toshiba sold its nand business
