GT 1030 won't output to 2nd monitor

iiNNeX

So I've got an EVGA GT 1030 that I bought for my work PC: https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=02G-P4-6333-KR

It has a DVI and HDMI port. I have connected it to 2x Dell P2417H monitors (http://www.dell.com/yu/business/p/dell-p2417h-monitor/pd) which have 1 DP, 1 HDMI and 1 VGA port each.

The first one is connected via an HDMI cable to it's HDMI cable port and is working fine. For the second one, I am using a display port to DVI adaptor/cable and it is not getting any signal. It recognises the input as it switches to DP mode but it says that there is no signal coming from the GPU.

Any help on the matter?

Edit: Forgot to mention that everything about is new, bought about a week ago. The 2nd monitor works fine when connected to my macbook via MiniDP to HDMI cable.

display port to DVI adaptor/cable? the gpu only has a HDMI and a DVI-I port. You mean DVI-I to display port?

I highly doubt a DVI-I to displayport cable would work due to standards being different.

Solution would be probably to get a DVI-I to HDMI cable.
