Is it normal for a 1090t to hity 75c on CPUTIN while cores are at 37 c at 50 to 60% load? All other temps were at 40 c to 45 c. Card was at 60 to 62c. This was while running Snes9x @ 1920x1080 with BRZ 6 enabled. I have Cool n Quiet and Thermal throttling disabled. I checked in task manager and it was SNES9X using that much resource at BRZ6 setting under display settings. I'm using version 1.54.1. It was using less resource running Dolphin.

Hey! Well first of all, re enable thermal throttling because that feature will save your CPU in case it overheats bad.

Secondly, 75C is a perfectly fine temperature. Don't go over 85. You should run a stress test like AIDA64 Extreme to see if you hit those high temps, and if you do, look to replace the cooler or at least clean the thermal paste and reapply

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

AIDA64 stresses your CPU to levels that wouldn't ever be seen in the real world. I would say take that temp you get after an hour and subtract 5.

Why is CPUTIN at 75c when cores are at 37c? Also chassis are at 40ish c. I wonder if its reading CPUTIN correctly. I will cause it to throttle. Maybe H60i isn't enough. I tried applying thermal past, the original had good spread and was damp, not crystallized old paist would be.

I sort of always thought CPUTIN on AM3 is weird and confusing. Personally I think it is measured somewhere around VRMs rathen than CPU itself, as I found it dropping when I put a little fan on VRM section. Either that or the reading is just flat out incorrect, as it doesn't seem to correlate with any other CPU readings.

I should study my motherboard. Maybe heatsinks on VRMS if that causes throttling. I know that 1090t is capable of more than that. Motherboard is a N58C-GS4 FX. It also could be a N68C-S4 FX. I have only looked at manual cover. That is a large difference from CPUTIN to Core temps.
