Windows Event code 129

I see error code 129 in windows event viewer and the issued source is iaStorA and the description reads 'Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued.' This corresponds to my system freezing and hanging and crashing. It only began to appear after i installed my ssd and put windows on it.

I hope your sys specs in your profile page are up to date...

 

so... 

 

First I would remove all the drive related cabeling, then put it back in, see if the error persists. If yes, get a new SATA cable, use another SATA power cable. 

 

If again it still persists, you are not running a raid, so switch your SATA mode inside the Bios to AHCI. 

 

Then get the latest bios and drivers installed, if not already done. This is important, some Intel drivers are a little wonky.

Could you post a link or something that will direct me to the driver I need to install, I’m sure I could find it but I’m paranoid and feel like I might get the wrong one. Also, my motherboard is not a dual bios board, so if I brick it with corrupted bios then I’d be screwed. I’d rather stay away from updating the bios
