Ok so im looking at a new psu from apevia, ive never heard of them but on newegg this psu has good reviews and i really like the way it looks it would go pirfect with my rig its a apevia ATX-AS520W-BK what do yall think about it

Can't say i've heard alot about them and that's generally not a good thing. I would shy away from no-name brands and stick with more well known brands and reputable brands such as Silverstone, NXZT, Kingwin, Seasonic, Super flower, Rosewill, Corsair etc.

There is a section of the forum for power supplies.

As for the topic I agree with Dave. Seasonic, XFX, Corsair, and Silverstone are my favorite brands. Corsair makes colored sleeved cables for their modular power supplies not all have a modular 24 pin connector though. I believe the GS series from corsair has some lighting in it, but the cables are non-modular and they are black.

Friend of mine bought one after reading some reviews and it lasted about 2 months. Super loud also, but I forget the exact model though.

yep stick with quality. Dave whats a Super flower that sounds like a hippe psu does it run on love and weed smoke lol. ya dude stick with xfx seasonic corsair rosewill.

Edit ahh its chinese that explains it lol.
