Hi Guys,

I have been streaming on and off and now want to start streaming stuff like my switch,

My question is, the Elgato is connected via HDMI from GPU to elgato

But do i need to use the out? as i use a 144hz monitor and HDMi is limited with hz so use DP

as the DP is still in the GPU should this be okay ?

Thanks

Using HDMI wont really limit you on the 144hz monitor because switch games aren't going to be higher than 60 FPS anyways. Same thing for Xbox/PS4

Thanks for the reply,

Sorry i miss typed some of my message

I mainly stream on twitch on my PC rig

Using my acer predator 144hz monitor

i connect this monitor via the DP port

but the elgato capture card is hdmi only, and i have a free HDMI on the GPU

so if i hook these up can i capture and still run the game via my DP port

Just set it to duplicate the screens. Although you may use the abilities to use that 144 refresh rate.
