Decided to ask first, seeing compatibility is (was?) somewhat of an issue on the still developing Ryzen platform.

The MoBo I have is an MSI X370 Krait, and when I check the RAM by product code on the support page, it tells me that "The memory compatibility depends on the CPU memory controller when the clock rate is over 3000 MHz."

The CPU (atm) is a Ryzen 1500X, and the RAM I want to upgrade to is the Corsair Vengeance White LED 32GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Quad Channel Kit (product code CMU32GX4M4D3200C16)

I mostly want these particular RAM sticks for esthetics (all B/W PC build, all white LEDs), but also as an upgrade from my 2133Mhz (OC @2933MHz) HyperX kit, which I ordered before I knew the benefits of fast memory on Ryzen. There are slower variants of the Corsair mem (2666 and 3000), in case compatibility is an issue, but the price difference is rather insignificant ($50 difference between 2666 and 3200).

I am planning to OC the mem further if possible, but first of all I need to know if it's compatible as it is, as I am a bit confused after reading stuff like "high speed ram is already OCed", or about people having issues booting with GSkill 2133 sticks on a B350/1500X combo (while I thought G-Skill are overall the most supported mems).

Thoughts? Will they work? Will I be able to further OC the RAM? Should I go outside instead?

Cheers!

I always keep BIOS and drivers up to date, but it's quite difficult to find any info about 3000+ mem compatibility in the update notes, I've even looked at the AMD site and can't find anything conclusive...
