Software RAID with SSD cache - possible?

Go to solution Solved by braneopbru,

Technically yes, but dependant on operating system or hardware RAID controller.

Only very specific types of workloads benefit from this type of setup and it's generally not recommended. Better off getting a large SSD.

Hi there,

Is it possible to configure a software RAID 0 with an SSD cache? My 4 x 3 TB RAID 0 is fast, but no with small files (like the ones I have with the cinema DNG codec for videography). Maybe a SSD cache would solve this problem?

If this is possible - is additional software needed?

Thanks and cheers
