Why can'y you open the side panel? Because the only way to check a PSU's wattage is to look at the sticker on the PSU.

there should be 2 screws on the back of the side panel, unscrew those and pull back the side panel.

There are generally two screws on the rear of the side panel behind the PC. Unscrew those. It varies from case to case, but most normal cases have you slide the panel to the right a little bit before you can pop the panel off. If you don’t see any screws take a few pictures of the PC and post it here.
