Microsoft Software Protection

Hi, my gaming PC is starting to be really slow by no reason. I have been checking the task manager to see what is slowing it down and I see the Microsoft Software Protection using from 0 to 30 percent of my CPU usage. I don't know what does that do and why is is there, but I wanna ask can I turn it off to get a better gaming experience? Do you happen to have any non-genuine software installed (in other words pirated)? The service deals with software activation and DRM.

Yes I have a game that is from a pirate cite.

You don't have to be, it scans the PC automatically on occasion and probably detected it on chance.

Hey, I just wanted to say thank you. I tried deleting my pirate games and it worked. My computer got faster. :)
