I'm very much not an audiophile, I'm using a pair of logitech g933 wireless headphones atm. I have quite a few devices that i want to have channeled through to my headphones at the same time. (TV, PS4, PC, Second PC), currently I make this work by using a 5m 3.5mm cable going into the line in on my pc, and passing it around to devices as needed.

I'm looking for a hardware solution to connect my two pc's, my ps4 and my tv into my headphones at the same time, but without the noise i get from my current solution (It sounds like some kind of feedback from the motherboard, I can hear things like my mouse moving), also it would be nice to have separate volume control for them, I'm not looking for much in terms of quality, I just want the noise gone.

Another thing I dont understand, which maybe you nice people could shed some light on. How come some devices play surround sound through my headset over usb, some sound like surround over the single 3.5mm cable, and some don't play through surround going through a single 3.5mm jack. how does "faking" surround work? and how would any possible solutions you come up with for the above problem work with surround?

I guess for actual recommendations you guys would need some kind of a budget, I've got £2-400 to spend on this, but I'm really not too fussed about quality, so long as the annoying noise is gone and very bass-y sounds dont get cut off like they currently do with my solution.

(Watching The Expanse on Netflix, through a 3.5mm cable from my tv to the line in on my pc. every time a ship flew past the camera the sound just cut out)

You could get a standalone audio mixer or use a home theater receiver to do the same thing. Lots of people on Twitch use hardware mixers I'm sure if you browse around YouTube you'll find a mixer that's in your budget.
