I'm repeatedly trying to put together a streaming pc in pcpartpicker, and there's nothing wrong with that site i'm just having trouble choosing parts. I keep thinking I want to save for the best of the best when I know I don't need the best and I just keep getting frustrated with myself when I'm choosing parts. I know I want a cpu that's 8 cores or over, I know I want a 1080ti, 32gb of ram, and I know I want at least one monitor that's 144hz and gsync. I just need someone to help me out with this so I have a definite choice and I stop changing every day because that's exactly what i've been doing. It makes my head hurt so much, and the source of this problem in the first place is that I have never had a good pc and I'm finally in a position that I can save for something huge and stream because that's what I've wanted to do since halfway through high school and it's been like four years now and I still have my old pc: Amd four core without hyperthreading and a gtx 550ti. So if anyone could talk with me about this I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Do you have a budget in mind? IMO the best streaming config would be an i7-8700k and a 1080 ti (a 8700k is MORE than enough for even high bitrate streaming).

32gb of ram is also more than enough, as it wouldn't increase streaming/gaming performance over 16gb.

Tbh I could make my budget go up to 8k but you know that’s a lot of money. I had considered an 8700k before but my mind had it in the category of only being two cores over what most people use. I’m just that special type of stupid. Several people have recommended that so for me to be considering like four or five times that is what makes me so frustrated.
