I read the voltage reading (vcore) on the fly with software. Not the most accurate way, but the same number reported with and without LLC should say that the CPU gets the samer amount of voltage under full load

If you are crashing because of voltage droop you will not see it in the software...because you are crashing before it displays the droop.

the test can go on for a minute or so before the crash. Not a temperature issue either, the Cryorig R1 is going 80% fan speed all the time and temps peak at 70C.

I know.

Keep doing it however you want.  I am just trying to make your life easier.  LLC is there for a reason.  You are skating uphill in my opinion.

Goodluck.

OP:  You have two people who have SUCCESSFULLY overclocked the 8700k on Asus boards, both recommending Lvl 6 LLC as a good place to start.  Check out that video @DarkSmith2 posted.  It is good info.

Run Prime95 for an hour and get back to me on those temps.

Yes, there is nothing wrong with LLC on z370 (except that some strix boards had nonfunctional LLC when released but it got Bios fixed)..

On my old Asrock z68 Board and 2600k whats so ever it didnt worked well, well no setting worked besides the highest ^^

But with the current generation i can tell from my experience that LLC 6 works flawlessly, besides the very little overshoot.

If i set 1.235 it will end up using 1.248.

If i set 1.25 it will end up using 1.264.

Im fine with that and there is nothing wrong with using LLC at all.

@TahoeDust So, all i do is change the volts to 1.25, LLC to 6, and change core to 48 and thats it? I dont touch any other settings in Ai tweaker? haha nothing at all?

Follow this tutorial starting at 5 minutes, but instead of 5GHz and 1.35v he uses try 4.8GHz and 1.25v.  That should be a good start.
