Hello,

I'm not to familiar with different audio solutions and what not, so I have some questions regarding it.

I'm searching for a high end headset to buy along with a sound card perhaps (if it will make a difference).

Let's say I want to get Razer Tiamat 7.1 v2 or other headset on the same level along with Creative Sound BlasterX AE-5.

So the question is if that would be a good combination? I'm also open for other recommendations and input on where I should go with this. Also, the motherboard I have now is z270h and I don't have a max budget so that isn't an issue.

Mvh

Jessie

What is your intended use? Are you a content creator looking for ultimate perfect replication of audio or are you a gamer looking for a decent gaming headset?

I'm looking for a decent gaming headset. But it would also be nice to get the extra out of a high end headset as well (if I can).

Since you have a flex budget, I would suggest getting a decent pair of over ears from Sennheiser, Audio Technica, Beyerdynamic or AKG and sticking an Antlion Audio Modmic to it. If you want to get the most out of it, get something like a Mayflower Objective 2 or Schitt Stack (Magni & Modi) to drive the headphones. You'll probably be fine using the onboard DSP for the mic.

"Not breaking it or making it worse is key."

"Bad choices make good stories."

Thanks for the response. I will take a look at Seenhesier and Audio Technica since I've heard good things about them before. Not heard of Beyerdynamic before but I will certainly take a look at them as well. Also do some research for something like Schitt Stack just to get an idea of what I will expecting. Thanks again for very good information.
