Cooling for an HDD?

Hi, I just put a Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD into my new build, it is a meshify C case, using the front and back fans it came with and a Cryorig H7 for an i5 8400. The GPU is an Asus ROG Strix 1060.

 

Hopefully someone will be familiar with this case and where the HDD slots are, do I need to do anything else other than just pop the drive in like I have and forget about it?

The hdd should be fine without any additional cooling. You can use software like CrystalDiskInfo to check on temps and drive health after leaving the system running for a while if you're worried: https://crystalmark.info/en/software/crystaldiskinfo/

Unless your case has no venting whatsoever and it becomes a furnace, then you're fine!

Ok great thanks, the case is pretty much one big vent at the front and seems to stay very cool, especially as my CPU fan is overkill and chose that GPU as I know it is supposed to stay quite cool.

Honestly you won't need a cooler most likely. Unless it gets no air access. If you want to be sure check the temps of you drive. Honestly, in most cases hot drives are from old laptops that don't have good cooling.
