I recently bought a Dell S2716DG monitor, an upgrade from my 1080p 60hz monitor. I love the resolution and refresh rate but after many hours of tuning I can’t get a solid color I’m happy with. I’m not sure if it’s just usual of a TN panel or if it’s the monitor itself.

Gaming is my first priority with the minitor but I also do a fair amount of photo editing. It seemed with my old monitor (also TN) my colors were close to my prints. And on the Dell a lot of my pictures would have not been printed without further color adjustments on-screen. Likewise, many game and website colors look slightly off after years of using the other monitor

I have a few days left to return it; My only concern with moving to IPS is ghosting. I’m pretty picky with visual performance. 75% of my gaming time will be on Esports, namely LoL. The rest is split up among various titles. Could anyone with experience chime in on the severity of ghosting when coming from years of TN use?

Thanks!

I like my IPS but it seems that you are more visually knowing than me in your talks of it. I have no ghosting issues with 75hz freesync display.

I like the IPS LED I have as it very friendly to the eye and has a Matt finish to the screen opposed to my old glossy monitor.

Ha definitely don’t use those products on my panels. The dell is practically brand new still.

@Fraser Cow do you notice any ghosting when gaming?

I haven't noticed anything, I'm pretty picky when it comes to monitors and this one in my eyes is as good as it gets without buying dedicated monitors for each use case.

I have an XB271HU

pro art series from asus never failed me with colors . check them out , and if u can find old module used for cheap :) then test it , ask the owner if u can view something on it and compare it to the print and see for yourself.
