A 240mm radiator is overkill for ryzen, even when fully overclocking a ryzen 1700. Unless youre getting a 1800x

If your getting anything but 1800x and overclocking (id assume you are) id go for a corsair h60, what if you want to be more stylish, a master liquid lite 120 rgb, though it only has a 2 year warranty.

But if youre getting a 1800x, or just have money to spend, then any would work. An evga clc240, corsair h100i or even a kraken x52. But, if you want to push to the max, get the 280mm version of any of these

1700 = 1800X so I don't get the difference you express. H60 isn't that much better than stock with 1700. Master liquid lite 120 is leaky.

1700 has a tdp of 65. 1800x has 125 i believe (correct me if im wrong). Yet, you can still overclock the 1800x further. Thats what i was saying.

Also, h60 is far better than stock.

They are binned the same. 1800X has TDP of 95.

Lol. Im dumb

Anyways, if the stock cooler on the 1700 can get to atlesst 3.7ghz at decent-ish temperatures, a 120mm would be plenty in my opinion.

Though, in saying that, if OP lives in a hotter environment, 240mm would be a lot better

Hey guys, I'm just wondering about any suggestions for a 240mm All in one cpu water cooler for a AM4 socket that would be good in a Itx case?

if you got the room, and cash, id recommend a corsair h100i or equivalent. the "i" is the nice part about it, tho can be hit and miss depending on your setup. i got the h105 on launch and have been using it since, but i wish it was digital as it would allow better readouts on info, like pump rpm, better temp readouts, newer models have rgb, etc. personally i would never use a single 120-140 rad, they usually dont perform much better than a decent air cooler, provided you dont live in the desert. always remember your ambient temp affects your temps, so if its really hot it wont matter if its air or liquid. i find the main reason for liquid is usually to lower sound output, but i could care less, as long as my system performs well and stays cool i dont really care what it sounds like. thats what headsets are for, lol
